Working with the code editor

If you want to build your email or landing page HTML code from scratch, rather than using the drag-and-drop editor, you can use the code editor.

Please note: Building your email or landing page in HTML requires HTML knowledge. We recommend that you only proceed if you are able to work with the code directly.

How to create an email campaign in the code editor

When you create a new campaign, on the ‘Campaign Detail’ page, you will see the different build options at the bottom. Select the ‘code editor‘.

Then, after you have entered your subject line and selected your template, you will be taken to the code editor.

Here you can build up your campaign or template in code, or paste in HTML code to use an external design inside your Wired Plus account.

How to create a landing page in the code editor

When you create a new landing page, on the ‘Landing Page Detail’ page, you will see the different build options at the bottom. Select the ‘code editor‘.

Then, after you have selected your template on the next stage, you will be taken to the code editor.

Here you can build up your landing page in code, or paste in HTML code to use an external design inside your Wired Plus account.

HTML code errors

Make sure you review your HTML if you’re copying and pasting it from elsewhere. If there is an error with your HTML code, you will see a warning icon on the right-hand side, next to the line of code that needs amending. Hover over the icon to view the reason for the error.
