Workflow step: Make a decision

This step allows you to decide whether to process contacts based on rules outlined in your decision node.

If your contact matches your rule, they will progress down the ‘Yes’ route. If your contact does not match the rule, they will progress down the ‘No’ route.

In order to make a decision, you must define which data type is used to filter the contacts through the decision node. 

There are 5 filter types to choose from:

  • Contact Data – This filter allows you to make decisions based on your subscriber’s contact data such as; name, email, company or opt-in type.
  • Contact Custom Fields – This filter lets you to make decisions against the custom fields in your account.
  • Customer Behaviour – This filter allows you to make decisions based on Customer Behaviour such as if a contact has opened a specific campaign.
  • Contact List – This filter lets you make decisions on whether or not a contact exists in a specific list.
  • Contact Segment – This filter allows you to make decisions on whether or not a contact exists in a specific segment.
