Wired Plus is proud to announce that we've made it onto the Government G-Cloud portal.
G-Cloud 12 is the latest procurement framework for government agencies and other public bodies.
So, what does it mean to be G-Cloud 12 certified? It might sound like a buzz term, but the fact we're G-Cloud approved means quite a lot to some industries and might be relevant for you too.
In this post, we'll briefly cover what the G-Cloud framework is, and what it means to be G-Cloud certified.
What is G-Cloud?
The G-Cloud framework is a directory of SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solutions for government agencies and companies working in the public sector (like local authorities, schools, and more).
The service began in 2012 and is now in its 12th iteration. It's managed by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS).
Suppliers who are G-Cloud approved are made available on an online marketplace called the Digital Marketplace. Public sector bodies can search the directory for services that are covered by the G-Cloud framework.
Using G-Cloud approved suppliers is important for institutions or companies that handle particularly sensitive data. It basically means the business can use the supplier with confidence and know that their data is being stored securely.
Being G-Cloud certified means Wired Plus meets the precise standards that are required to be accepted onto the framework. This means that government agencies (and any other clients) don't have to worry about security or support issues when using Wired Plus.
